Traffic Angel Lands at KNX

Jennifer York was the airborne morning TV traffic reporter with such long hair that it looked like it was going to get stuck in her mouth as she spoke. But it never did as she frequently brushed it away from her eyes. But luxurious locks didn’t prevent her from delivering some award-winning reporting. For her live over-the-scene coverage of fires, shootings and the Northridge Earthquake, she earned an Emmy and several Golden Mikes. She left KTLA-TV in 2003. York’s high-energy, husky-voiced traffic reporting is now back on the radio at news station KNX 1070 AM where she’s scouting for Sig Alerts during middays. She replaced veteran reporter Megan Reyes. York began her traffic reporting career with then all-news KFWB 980 AM in 1989.
